Our Mission
Great Lakes Trade Academy was founded to close the gap between traditional training and the needs of modern service employers. We deliver concise, practical online training that focuses on the hands-on skills employers want — without unnecessary classroom time. Our goal is to help students gain marketable skills quickly so they can start earning sooner.
How Our Virtual Model Works
All course material is delivered online through our learning portal. Lessons are a mix of short video demonstrations, interactive quizzes, downloadable schematics, and virtual lab simulations. Students can complete lessons at their own pace and rewatch demonstrations as needed. We provide instructor feedback on assignments and live Q&A sessions on a scheduled basis.

Students who complete our programs receive a Great Lakes Trade Academy Certificate of Completion and preparation for industry credentials such as EPA Section 608 where applicable. Our graduates pursue careers as HVAC technicians, appliance repair technicians, and field service techs. We offer career support to help connect graduates with employers.
